KAWARTHA LAKES-The Bobcaygeon Bakery gingerbread re-creation of downtown Bobcaygeon has raised $3,500 for Women’s Resources.
Baker Sarah Chomko recreated the buildings of downtown Bobcaygeon in gingerbread. It took her over 100 hours to create the magical gingerbread and icing village and then residents could sponsor a building and take it home for Christmas or simply make a donation.
Women’s Resources of Kawartha Lakes, is a not-for-profit, charitable organization created and run by local women. For 30 years, Women’s Resources has been providing programs throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes to ensure that abused women and their children can get the help they need to lead lives free of abuse and violence.
