PETERBOROUGH-Three Peterborough area residents are facing drug and other charges after a routine vehicle stop early Saturday morning.
Police say at approximately 1:00am December 5, 2020, an officer conducted a routine vehicle stop in the area of Rubidge Street just north of Sherbrooke Street. The traffic stop led to a drug investigation during which two of the accused failed to properly identify themselves according to police.
Police Service Dog Chase attended the scene for a vehicle search and located a quantity of cocaine.
As a result of the investigation, three individuals have been arrested and charged.
Richard Coburn, 33-year-old of Fraserville is charged with:
- Possession of Cocaine
- Possession of an Opioid
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
- Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court x2
Hilary Fleetwood, 34-year-old of Peterborough is charged with:
- Obstruct a Peace Officer
- Failure to comply with release order x2
Jonathan Spradbrow, 32-year-old of Peterborough is charged with:
- Obstruct a Peace Officer
- Possession of Cocaine
All three were released with a promise to appear in court later in the month.
