Lindsay woman charged with breaking into a home and stealing property

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 25 year old Lindsay woman has been charged with breaking into a home and stealing property.

Police say during the early morning hours of December 6th  the Kawartha Lakes Police Service was alerted to a break and enter that had just occurred to a residence on William Street South in Lindsay. 

Witnesses reported that a woman stole property from the home, after forcing her way inside. 

The investigating officer spoke with witnesses to the offence, and was able to determine the alleged identity of the suspect.  Officers located the suspect an hour later, and placed her under arrest.  25-year-old Tiffany Ariel Richards of Lindsay has been charged with break and enter to a dwelling, and theft under $5000. 

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on February 4, 2021.
