KAWARTHA LAKES-Kawartha Lakes OPP is investigating after a teen was killed in a two vehicle crash on Sunday.
Police say at approximately 3:20p.m. an officer from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP responded to a call related to a two vehicle collision on Simcoe Street, south of Thorah Concession Road 1.
Initial investigation indicated that a north bound vehicle lost control and entered into the south bound lane where it was struck by a south bound vehicle according to police. The driver of the north bound vehicle was transported to a local area hospital and then a Toronto area hospital with serious injuries. The passenger in this vehicle, Richard Harris, 18 years of age, from Brock Township, is deceased.
The OPP‘s Technical Collision Investigation unit and Reconstructionist were deployed to the scene to assist with the investigation.
