KAWARTHA LAKES-Marissa Currell has lived near the water tower in Lindsay for 18 years and says she’s never seen anyone but workers climb it in all those years.
“I was shocked.” Currell says. “I could hear them yelling “buddy we made it to the top”, I don’t think they were aiming for the top that’s just where they got to.”
She says she saw the group on the tower on Monday night and was worried they might fall, so she called police. Other neighbours in the area also witnessed it and became concerned. Nina Haley took a photo of police at the base of the tower and says they coaxed the group to the ground.
Police say no charges were laid in this incident.
