KAWARTHA LAKES-Police are investigating after a riding lawnmower was stolen from the backyard of a home in Lindsay while the owners were inside.
Police say on November 7th officers were called to a home on Crandall Street in Lindsay for the report of a theft. The investigating officer learned that sometime overnight, unknown suspects stolen a John Deere riding lawnmower from the back yard of the residence.
The unit has a 7.5 horse power gasoline engine, and a 32 inch cutting deck. Tire tracks in the lawn of the home indicated that the suspect pushed the lawnmower south across a neighbouring property and onto John Street.
The Kawartha Lakes Police Service is asking that anyone who may have information about the incident to contact them at 705.324.5252. Or if you wish to provide your information anonymously you can do so through Crime Stoppers at 1.800.222.TIPS (8477) or at www.kh.crimestoppersweb.com. Â
