OPP respond to numerous collisions involving deer

KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP is asking motorists to be extra vigilant when driving after receiving numerous calls regarding car-deer collisions.

Police say over the course of the past two days officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP have attended multiple motor vehicle collisions involving deer. The deer are active at this time of year and are entering the roadways unexpectedly.

S/Sgt. Flindall reminds motorists to “slow down, leave extra space between yourself and other vehicles, and be cognizant of your surroundings at all times”.
