“Significant” line-up at COVID testing site in Lindsay shortly after opening this morning

KAWARTHA LAKES-Shortly after opening this morning officials at Ross Memorial Hospital (RMH)reported a “significant” line-up.

The hospital is asking drivers to join the line of Sussex Street rather than Kent Street West to support traffic flow.

On Monday a second assessment centre popped up at the Lindsay Fairgrounds. The hospital says on higher volume days, and as staffing and resources allow, they have been diverting some of the Assessment Centre line to the fairgrounds.

“This has helped us to keep the traffic around the hospital flowing and to better serve those waiting.” Amanda Carvalho, Communications RMH told Kawartha 411 News.  “The fairgrounds is not a full assessment centre, and we ask that no one proceed to the fairgrounds unless they have been advised to do so by our staff.”

Before seeking testing, please check the provincial website at Ontario.ca/coronavirus for the most accurate information on if and where you should seek testing.
