Lindsay woman charged with stealing license plates

KAWARTHA LAKES-A Lindsay woman has been charged with stealing license plates.

Police say on September 27, 2020 the Kawartha Lakes Police Service received a report that two license plates had been stolen from a vehicle in Lindsay. On September 28th an officer on patrol in the area of Wellington Street observed the stolen license plates attached to a vehicle being operated by a woman according to police.

The officer followed the vehicle and arrested the driver when she stopped in a parking lot on William Street North. 27-year-old Sasha Randen White of Lindsay has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, and four Highway Traffic Act Offences.

The Accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay December 3, 2020.
