Impaired driving charge laid after multiple complaints from the public

KAWARTHA LAKES-The OPP says officers received multiple complaints related to a potentially impaired driver that resulted in the arrest of a 46 year old local resident.

On September 11, 2020 an officer from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP located the vehicle, which was the subject of multiple complaints, on Highway 7 near Loop Line according to police.

The subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the driver, Trevor Judd, who was charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, contrary to the Criminal Code. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on December 1, 2020.
