KAWARTHA LAKES-Members of the Peterborough County OPP Marine Unit patrolled Kassabog Lake, Mississauga Lake, Gold Lake, Beaver Lake and Cavendish Lake over the weekend. Two warn range suspensions were issued and 16 charges were laid for the following infractions:
· Operation while impaired-1
· Liquor Licence Act-7
· Equipment related-8
The Peterborough County OPP Marine Unit says officers will be on the water everyday this summer and want to remind all vessel operators to ensure they have the required safety equipment and life jackets for every person(s) on board prior to leaving the shore.
