Parts of County Rd 2 in Minden Hills washed out after beaver dam possibly bursts

KAWARTHA LAKES-Officials with Haliburton County believe a beaver dam let go, washing out a road in the municipality.

400m of County Rd 2 or Deep Bay Road is closed after the washout between Devil’s Lake Road and Forster’s Road. County staff are on site to get the road opened up quickly and safely for residents who are stranded.

The washout comes after heavy rains and a possible tornado hit the area on Sunday.
