KAWARTHA LAKES-Three people are facing charges and a loaded gun was seized by police in Lindsay.
Police say officers were notified that a dispute was taking place between a group of people in a residence in the area of Mary Street West and Hamilton Street in Lindsay. As officers travelled to the scene, a second caller to “911” reported hearing a gunshot in the area. When officers arrived at the residence, they were informed by witnesses that several people had fled the area just moments before. The Kawartha Lakes Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch and Forensic Identification Unit attended the scene to assist with the investigation.
On July 26 at 8:10PM investigators arrested three people in connected to this incident. Following the arrests, investigators executed a search warrant at a home on Queen Street in Lindsay, and seized a loaded .38 Caliber revolver.
32-year-old Randy Demien Laughlin of Lindsay has been charged with unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, careless storage of a firearm, six counts of possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon, failing to comply with the conditions of his undertaking and failing to comply with the conditions of his probation order.
25-year-old Sabrina McIsaac of Lindsay has been charged with unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon and careless storage of a firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon.
29-year-old Tristram Robertson-Lee of Markham has been charged with unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon, careless storage of a firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon. The accused persons where held in custody to attend a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on July 27, 2020.
