Local man facing alcohol related driving charges following tip from the public

KAWARTHA LAKES-A local resident is facing multiple charges after a tip from the public.

Police say on July 20th at approximately 8:20p.m. officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP responded to information regarding a potentially impaired driver. The alleged vehicle was located on Kawartha Lakes Road 121 near Northline Road and the investigation led to the arrest of the driver according to police.

30 year old David Rockbrune was charged with failure or refusal to comply with demand, operation while prohibited, driving while under suspension, driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor and drive motor vehicle, no currently valid permit.

The vehicle was towed from the scene to be impounded for 45 days.
