10 people injured in three vehicle crash Saturday night

KAWARTHA LAKES-10 people were injured, one seriously in a three vehicle collision on Heights Road, Saturday night

Heights Road remains closed between Crosswind Road and Mount Horeb Road for the investigation .

Police say just before 10:00PM, a vehicle travelling south on Heights Road collided with a vehicle traveling north bound.  Immediately following the collision, a third vehicle which had been traveling south also struck the two vehicles according to officers on the sene.

Nine occupants of vehicles involved in the collision were taken to local hospitals where they were treated for their injuries and have been released.  A tenth occupant sustained serious injuries and was taken to a Toronto area hospital.

Heights Road is expected to remain closed for several more hours as the members of the Ontario Provincial Police Central Region Traffic Safety and Operational Support assists members of the Kawartha Lakes Police Service with the investigation.
