OPP Forensic Identification Unit on the scene at Esso gas station just outside of Oakwood

KAWARTHA LAKES-The OPP Forensic Identification Unit is on the scene at the Esso gas station on Highway 7 just outside of Oakwood.

There is police crime scene tape surrounding the building and at least two police vehicles on site. There appears to be an employee still inside the building but the business is closed.

The OPP says they are investigating an early morning break and enter at the facility. No one was injured. Police say the culprits made of with various items but would not specify what.

This is the second robbery at a local gas station in 24 hours. Witnesses tell Kawartha 411 that the gas station on Lindsay Street South in Lindsay was robbed at knifepoint last night. Police are investigating.
