Convenience Store in Lindsay robbed at knifepoint on Monday night

KAWARTHA LAKES-A convenience store in Lindsay was robbed at knifepoint last night.

Police sat on July 13, 2020 at around 8:12pm, City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service was called to a Lindsay Street South business for a report of a robbery.

A male entered the business wearing a disguise, displayed a knife and demanded money from the clerk according to police. The male then exited the store with a quantity of cash and went west on Durham Street.

The male is described as white, slim, black hoodie, jeans, black cap, face mask and white rimmed glasses. Police are looking for any witnesses who may have seen the incident or know who may have committed this crime and is asking them to contact police at 705-324-5252.  Or if you wish to provide your information anonymously you can do so through Crime Stoppers at 1.800.222.TIPS (8477) or at www.kh.crimestoppersweb.com.

The convenience store at the Esso station just outside of Oakwood was also robbed at some point overnight. No one was in the store at the time. It’s unclear if the two incidents are related.
