PETERBOROUGH-It’s been 100 days since the lifeless body of 20 year old Tali Nolan was discovered in Peterborough. 100 days since her friends and loved ones could talk to her, 100 days that her killer has been on the loose.
On April 3, 2020 at approximately 5:18 p.m. the Peterborough Police Service responded to a suspicious death at a McDonnel Street address. Upon arrival Police located the deceased, 20 year old Tali Nolan, of Peterborough.  Police say Nolan’s death was as a result of homicide.
Police held a press conference outside the Peterborough Police station on Water Street today to appeal for anyone with information to come forward. Mike Stephens, the lead Detective on the the case, said someone out there knows who did this and they should do the right thing.
“We are working diligently every day on this case. We follow every lead, every tip that comes in we are committed to solving this crime but we can’t do it alone we need help from the community. We do believe that somebody in the community knows something that they haven’t yet shared with us.”
Police also had the team from Peterborough Northumberland Crimestoppers at the press conference and stressed that tips can be made anonymously.
“If you have information that leads to the arrest you can receive up to $2,000 and if you don’t want to be involved you can be anonymous. So that means when you submit a tip you remain anonymous, we do not subscribe to caller ID, we do not know what your email address is, you receive a tip ID, you are a number to Crimestoppers.” said Detective Constable Keith Calderwood. “You can remain anonymous, that means you never have to testify in court, you never have to give a statement, you may be asked some clarifying information but you never have to give your name and you can help solve this crime.”
Police say they have received a number of tips but nothing has lead them to the killer. They have no suspects. Detectives say they aren’t sure if the killing was a random act for if Nolan was targeted but they say there’s no concern for public safety.
