Special Weather Statement issued for Kawartha Lakes

KAWARTHA LAKES- Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for Kawartha Lakes.

At 10:00 P.M. EDT, scattered strong thunderstorms were located over portions of York and Durham regions. These thunderstorms are moving north toward our area at 40 km/h.

Hazards: 70 to 80 km/h wind gusts and torrential rain.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding.

Locations impacted include:
Newmarket, Richmond Hill, Markham, Oshawa, Aurora, Uxbridge, Port Perry, Lindsay/Kawartha Lakes and Whitby.
