Police looking for witnesses after two people injured in assault in downtown Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-Two people were taken to hospital following an assault in Lindsay last night.

The Kawartha Lakes Police Service is investigating the alleged assault that occurred on Victoria Avenue South, at Kent Street West in Lindsay on June 10, 2020.  Police say at approximately 10:00PM, a man parked his vehicle on the street while he waited to pick up a family member.  As he waited, the man was approached by a group of six to seven teenage males.  A confrontation erupted between the man and the group, and the man was assaulted.  The man’s family member arrived during the assault and attempted to intervene, but she was also assaulted.

The two victims were taken to hospital for treatment of their minor injuries.
