KAWARTHA LAKES- A dangerous sexual offender wanted by the OPP Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement squad was found in Manilla.
30 year old Richard Cooper was out on statutory release and was serving a four year and one month sentence for Sexual Interference, Control Movement to Compel Prostitution and Traffic Persons for Material Under 18 years of Age.
Peterborough Police confirmed to Kawartha 411 News that they picked him up on Wednesday in Manilla. They say they were acting on “information received”.
He had been on the run since August 2019.
