KAWARTHA LAKES-A house fire near Lindsay has left a family of four without their temporary home.

The fire broke out on Wednesday just after the noon hour on Snug Harbour Road. Two people were home at the time and managed to escape without injury according to the fire department. The family had been living in the home temporarily while they renovated the home next door.

There’s no word on the cause although officials say it is not considered suspicious. Damage is pegged at $150,000.
