KAWARTHA LAKES-A City of Kawartha Lakes Police officer foiled an attempted break-in early this morning.
Police say an officer patrolling the area of Greenfield Road in Lindsay during the early morning hours of January 22, 2020 discovered an audible alarm sounding from a nearby business, and a man allegedly attempting to leave the area.
After stopping the man to investigate, the officer discovered that the man had attempted to force his way into the closed business according to police.
The man was arrested, and found to be in possession of a controlled substance.
38-year-old Andrew McFadden of Sunderland has been charged with obstructing a peace officer, break and enter, mischief to property and possession of a controlled substance.
