Omemee resident one of two people charged with stunt driving on Tuesday

KAWARTHA LAKES-An Omemee man is one of two people charged with stunt driving in one day.

Members of the Peterborough County OPP were conducting radar patrol on Highway 115 yesterday afternoon. Shortly before 4:00pm, an officer allegedly clocked a vehicle travelling at 158km/h in a posted 100km/h zone.

58 year old RandallMcComb of Omemee, Ontario was charged with stunt driving in relation to excessive speed.  His driver’s licence was suspended for seven day and his vehicle was impounded.

A second person was charged after a radar patrol on Highway 28 yesterday afternoon. Shortly before 5:00pm, an officer reportedly clocked a vehicle travelling at 137km/h in a posted 80km/h zone.

19 year old Melanie Popovski of Markham, Ontario was charged with stunt driving in relation to excessive speed. Her driver’s licence was suspended for seven day and her vehicle was impounded.
