KAWARTHA LAKES-A 72 year old man from the Toronto area is facing charges after a homeowner observed someone walking down the road carrying a firearm.
Police say on December 7, 2019 a homeowner contacted Kawartha Lakes OPP to report an unknown person walking along Centennial Park Road near Bolsover with a firearm.
Officers responded to the call and the ensuing investigation indicated that the male was allegedly hunting rabbits from the roadway.
Dimitrios Katsinos, 72 years of age, of Willowdale, was charged with Engage in prohibited activity on premises, contrary to the Trespass to Property Act and Unlawfully possess loaded firearm within 8 metres of roadway, contrary to the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act.
