Local man has car impounded for 45 days after being charged with numerous offences

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 27 year old man is facing a number of charges and has had his vehicle impounded for 45 days.

Police say on October 24, 2019 an officer from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle on Opmar Road and the ensuing investigation led to the arrest of the driver.

27 year old Kyle Stewart was charged with the following 3 counts of Operation while prohibited, 2 counts of Driving while under suspension, operate a motor vehicle without insurance and drive motor vehicle, no validation on plate, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

The vehicle was towed from the scene and will be impounded for 45 days.
