Bobcaygeon man charged with driving with a hand held communication device

KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP has charged a Bobcaygeon man with distracted driving.

Police say on October 24, 2019 an officer from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was patrolling in the Bobcaygeon area when a driver was allegedly observed committing a cell phone infraction.

The officer stopped the vehicle and the ensuing investigation resulted in the driver a 42 year old from Bobcaygeon, being charged with Driving while under suspension and Drive – hand held communication device.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on December 3, 2019.
