Residents discover vehicle in Katchewanooka Lake

PETERBOROUGH COUNTY-Residents on Katchewanooka Lake near Peterborough awoke to find a car partially submerged in the water early Sunday morning.

Residents tell Kawartha 411 News that the vehicle was discovered at 6:45 am. A boater came to the aid of the occupants. The driver and passengers allegedly escaped from the vehicle and fled the scene.

The OPP has not yet responded to requests for more information.
