Safe Trucking initiative results in 25 charges locally

KAWARTHA LAKES-The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP took part in a commercial motor vehicle (CMV)initiative called Operation Safe Trucking from August 18-24th.

Operation Safe Trucking focusses on all aspects of CMV enforcement for CMV’s over 4500kgs. In total they laid 25 charges as follows:

Speeding                             15 charges

Distracted Driving               1 charge

Follow Too Close                2 charges

Other Moving Violations    1 charge

Document                            6 charges
