Traffic complaint leads to drug related charges

KAWARTHA LAKES-A traffic complaint received by the Ontario Provincial Police resulted in the arrest of the vehicle driver for drug related offences.

Police say on March 26 an officer responded to a complaint regarding a vehicle that was being operated on Little Britain Road. The vehicle was allegedly observed striking the shoulder and crossing over the centre line. The officer located and stopped the vehicle, with the subsequent investigation resulting in the driver, Solomon Moore, 56 years of age, of Lindsay, being charged with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration, 80 plus, contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Drive motor vehicle, no licence, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
