Selwyn Township business raided in drug investigation

PETERBOROUGH-A business in Selwyn Township was raided and the owners charged after a two month long drug investigation by Peterborough County OPP.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Peterborough Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) executed two Controlled Drugs and Substance search warrants on March 13th in Selwyn Township. The warrants were executed at a Lakeshore Boulevard residence and the business known as the Braaap Shack Powersports on Robinson Road in Selwyn Township. Officers allegedly seized cocaine, psilocybin (magic mushrooms), marihuana, ecstasy, cash, scales and packaging material. As a result two persons have been charged.

Craig COLTON (age 34) of Selwyn Township, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

•        Trafficking-five counts

•        Possession for the Purpose to Traffick-four counts

•        Possession of Proceeds of Crime under $5000

The accused was held in custody and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough later today for a bail hearing.

Amanda COLTON (age 30) of Selwyn Township, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

•        Possession for the Purpose to Traffick-four counts

•        Possession of Proceeds of Crime under $5000

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on April 9, 2019.

Investigation is continuing.
