Driver airlifted to Toronto hospital after crash involving snowmobile and motor vehicle

HALIBURTON HIGHLANDS-The driver of the snowmobile was transported to a local hospital and then taken by Air Ambulance to a Toronto Hospital after a crash in Haliburton Highlands.

Haliburton Highlands Detachment OPP say they are investigating a collision that occurred shortly before 2pm Thursday. The collision allegedly occurred when a snowmobile travelling north bound on snowmobile trail B103 located on Gelert Road near Lochlin Road collided with a motor vehicle entering a private drive. Witnesses say the snow machine caught fire.

At the time of this report injuries are reported to be non-life threatening.
