Charges laid in crash near Emily Park

KAWARTHA LAKES-On March 3, 2019 officers from the City of Kawartha LakesĀ OPP responded to a two vehicle collision at the three way intersection of Emily Park Road, Peace Road and Yankee Line.

Police say an investigation indicated that the vehicle travelling south bound on Yankee Line failed to stop at the stop sign and subsequently struck a vehicle that was turning left onto Peace Road from the north bound lane of Emily Park Road.

Two of the involved parties were transported to local hospitals, via ambulance, with minor injuries.

Richard Dunford, 87 years of age, was charged with disobey stop sign – fail to stop, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
