Impaired driving charges laid after tip from the public

KAWARTHA LAKES-A tip from the public has lead to impaired driving charges for a local man.

Police say on February 17, 2019, officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP responded to a call related to a potentially impaired driver operating a motor vehicle on Little Britain Road. Officers were able to locate the vehicle at a business in Lindsay and the subsequent investigation resulted in the driver being arrested for an alcohol related offence.

Charles Titus, 53 years of age, has been charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), contrary to the Criminal Code. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
