PETERBOROUGH-Police say two males from Quebec were found on Wednesday in a storage unit that they had been living in. According to police they were in possession of a controlled substance.
The discovery came after members of the Peterborough County OPP responded to a suspicious person complaint on Highway 7 in Norwood at 8:30pm.
Mario Laliberte (age 53) of Levis, Quebec was arrested and charged with:
- Â Possession of a schedule III substance-methylphenidate
- Fail to comply with Probation Order
Matthias McKenzie (age 33) of Quebec City, Quebec was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a schedule III substance-methylphenidate
Methylphenidate, sold under the trade names Ritalin among others, is a stimulant medication used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and narcolepsy.
