Retired TTC bus driver from Lindsay wins $100,000

KAWARTHA LAKES- Congratulations to Glen Haskett of Lindsay for winning $100,000 with ENCORE in the October 19th LOTTO Max draw.

Haskett matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order to win the $100,000 prize. “I enjoy playing Quick Picks with LOTTO MAX and LOTTO 6/49,” shared Glen, a 63-year old retired TTC bus operator, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.

Haskett headed into a retailer to validate his ticket following the draw. “I thought I won $10,000 at first sight – I was almost numb and couldn’t believe it,” he smiled. “When I found out what I really won, I thought the store manager was kidding!”

The married, father, grandfather and great-grandfather plans on saving for everyday life, and travelling, including trips to Vancouver, Alaska, and the Arctic Circle.

“It feels great – I can’t believe I won $100,000!” he smiled.

The winning ticket was purchased at Loblaws on Kent Street in Lindsay.
