21st Annual Festival of Trees kicks off in Bobcaygeon

KAWARTHA LAKES-The 21st Annual Festival of Tree’s opens to the public today. Last year approximately 6000 people attended the event. It’s the marquee fundraiser for Kawartha Settlers Village in Bobcaygeon.

What was once a thriving family farm, Kawartha Settlers’ Village is now home to a collection of over 20 historic homes and buildings. Experience what life was like for pioneers in the Kawartha’s as you stroll leisurely through the Village and discover artifacts from 1830 – 1935.

The Festival of Trees is a four day event where visitors stroll amongst Kawartha Settlers’ Village and see (and potentially win) the many trees, wreaths, garlands, and items that have been generously sponsored by businesses within the City of Kawartha Lakes (and some from even further). Visitors can also experience the different activities that are happening in the different buildings.

Here’s a sneak peek at this years festival.
