Janetville woman arrested in armed robbery in Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-City of Kawartha Lakes Police have made an arrest in the Saturday afternoon armed robbery at a William Street north convenience store.

On Saturday September 8th at 12:20pm a lone female allegedly entered a convenience store on William Street north in Lindsay. Police say the woman displayed a weapon and demanded money from the store clerk. After receiving a sum of money the woman ran from the store, traveling west on Wellington Street.

On Monday, September 10th, 2018 members of the Kawartha Lakes Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch arrested and charged 26-year-old Katrina Agelakoudis of Janetville in connection with the case.  Ms. Agelakoudis will attend the Lindsay, Ontario Court of Justice on Tuesday, September 11th, 2018 for a bail hearing on charges of Armed Robbery, Uttering Threats, Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace and Wearing a Disguise While Committing an Indictable Offence.

Police say at this time, there is no evidence to link this robbery to a September 7th robbery which occurred at an Albert Street south convenience store at 2:10 pm. The suspect was armed with a knife and fled the store after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash. A second person is also sought who acted as a lookout for the suspect.
