KAWARTHA LAKES-Kawartha Lakes Police say the recent winter storm generated a high volume of calls for service.
Members of the police service responded to thirty-two winter storm related calls for service, predominately for downed wires and fallen trees on Monday.
Police say despite the hard work of the City of Kawartha Lakes Public Works and Roads Department, snow and ice conditions continue to persist on many roadways in the City of Kawartha Lakes.
They are encouraging motorists to plan ahead, leave extra time for travel and adjust their speed to changing road conditions.
