BOWMANVILLE-Some scary moments your a young girl in Bowmanville.
Police say On Saturday, November 25th at approximately 9:40 p.m., a 16-year-old Bowmanville girl reported was walking north on Mearns Avenue on the west side of the road. Just south of Guildwood Drive, a small black car travelling southbound pulled over to the side of the road. She says she heard the driver say “directions” and turned around to face the vehicle. An unknown male exited the passenger side of the vehicle and allegedly started to chase her.
She ran southbound and made it to a convenience store where a citizen assisted her. The suspect vehicle never went past her according to police.
Investigators with Durham Regional police would like to speak to the two males involved in this incident. The driver of the vehicle is described as a male with tanned skin. The second male who chased after her is described as amale, late 20s, black, with white straight teeth, wearing black clothes and a black toque.
The vehicle is described as a small, old black car with tinted windows and yellow headlights.
