Police find alleged illegal shotgun in Lindsay home

KAWARTHA LAKES- A 43-year-old Lindsay woman has been charged with several firearms-related and drug offences after Kawartha Lakes Police executed a search warrant at a Georgian Street home last Friday.

The investigation began when police received a tip that the woman was in possession of a shotgun that she was not legally entitled to possess. Police obtained a search warrant, and the home was entered shortly after noon on Friday, November 10th, 2017. Police say once inside officers located a 12 gauge shotgun, a small quantity of marijuana and a small quantity of cannabis resin.

43 year old Brenda Horslen has been charged with Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Careless Storage of a Firearm, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Cannabis Resin.
