Little Britain man charged with impaired driving

KAWARTHA LAKES-A 20-year-old Little Britain man has a date with a judge on drinking and driving related charges after being stopped by Kawartha Lakes Police early Saturday morning.

Police say the incident began shortly before 2:30 am on Saturday, November 11th, 2017 when a Kawartha Lakes Police officer stopped a vehicle on Cambridge Street south near Glenelg Street west. When the officer spoke with the male driver, he allegedly noted a strong smell of alcohol on the man. After further observations, the man was arrested for impaired driving. He was taken to KLPS where he provided samples of his breath, registering readings more than the legal limit according to police. .

20 year old Devon Myers of Little Britain, was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Exceed .08 and Drive While Under Suspension.
