Candlelight vigil for Gord Downie in Bobcaygeon

KAWARTHA LAKES-It was under the constellations in Bobcaygeon that about 50 people came together to honour Gord Downie.

Downie, the frontman of The Tragically Hip passed away Tuesday night after a two year battle with brain cancer.

The Tragically Hip song “Bobcaygeon” put the little village on the map in 1999. In August 2016, 6000 people descended on Bobcaygeon for a viewing party for what was believed to the the bands final show.
