KAWARTHA LAKES- City of Kawartha Lakes OPP has closed County Road 8 between Fenelon Falls and Bobcaygeon for an alleged head on collision.
The the crash happened just after 6pm on County Road 8 at County Road 30. Police say a black car with two occupants and a silver minivan with four occupants were involved. Several people were initially trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated.
Three people were seriously injured and were transported by air ambulance to a Toronto area hospital. The remaining occupants were treated locally for minor injuries.
The road in the area was closed for several hours. The OPP’s Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) attended to assist with accident investigation. The investigation is continuing.
