KAWARTHA LAKES- This weekend marks the 146th year for the Kinmount Fair.
The fair runs from Friday September 1st through September 3rd. It features a midway with plenty of rides for the young and the young at heart. On Sunday the gates open at 7am and the midway is open at 9:30am. The Demolition Derby starts at noon and the agricultural exhibits are open all day Sunday.
Michelle Weiler is this years Fair Ambassador. She issued this statement. “This year I was lucky enough to represent the Kinmount Fair as the Kinmount Fair Ambassador. It has been an amazing experience that has helped me grow in many ways,”she says. “In February I attended the Fair Convention at the Royal York in Toronto. I was able to meet many individuals who, like myself, showed passion for their communities, fairs, and agricultural societies. Together we discussed how we can positively impact out communities and the future of those communities. It was altogether a positive experience that provided each ambassador with leadership skills that we will be able to take with us forever.”
