Break and enter suspect found hiding in garage near Peterborough

PETERBOROUGH-Peterborough County OPP have made an arrest after a number of homes in the area of County Road 2 and Third Line were allegedly broken into yesterday morning.

Police say they were able to identify the suspect from video surveillance at one of the residences. OPP officers located the suspect after the allegedly stolen ATV he was riding ran out of fuel and he attempted to hide in a garage.

38 year old Lucas Albert Hehrling of Peterborough, Ontario was arrested at the scene and charged with Break, enter and theft under $5000 (3 count),Possession of break in toolls, Wearing a disguise while committing an indictable offence,Theft over $5000 (ATV),Resist police officer and Fail to comply with recognizance (2 counts).
