KAWARTHA LAKES-Kawartha Lakes Police are asking for the publics help in locating the culprits in two separate thefts that occurred recently in Lindsay.
Workers constructing a basketball court returned to a job site on Lindsay Street South and told police they found that a plate packer and a plate rammer ( jumping jack) had been removed from the site. Both items are used for packing and compacting soil and gravel. The plate packer is an MBW Model GPR68H which is valued at approximately $7200.00 and weighs over 300 pounds. The plate rammer is also very heavy weighing in at over 150 pounds and is valued at over $2000.00.
In the second occurrence, a construction storage trailer located at a Cambridge Street North address was entered sometime between August 20th, 2017 and August 28th, 2017. The thieves cut the lock securing the trailer and removed tools valued in excess of $5000.00. The items missing include Stihl Chainsaws, Circular saws and other power tools used in home renovation and construction.
