Teen dies after boating incident in Haliburton

The Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the OPP is investigating a serious boating incident that occurred on Clement Lake in Highlands East, in Haliburton County.

Police say it happened in the afternoon of the 16th of August 2017 shortly before 4:00 p.m.

As a result of this incident a thirteen year old male from Port Colborne, Ontario was flown to a Toronto Area Hospital with life threatening injuries.

Officials with the Haliburton Highlands Detachment say they have been notified that the 13 year old male has succumbed to his injuries.
