Oshawa man charged with sexual assault on teen in Peterborough

PETERBOROUGH-A 34-year-old Oshawa man is facing charges including sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age and sexual interference following an alleged incident earlier this summer in Peterborough.  

Police say the incident is reported to have happened in June 2017 and was reported to police in August.

The female told police she attended a Peterborough residence and while at the residence she said she was sexually assaulted by a male whom she knows. As a result of the investigation on August 10, 2017 the accused was arrested at a Peterborough residence.

34 year old Cory John James of Lakeview Park Avenue, Oshawa, is charged with sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age, sexual interference with a person under 16 years of age and Invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age.
