Clothing store robbed by alleged scissor-wielding woman

PETERBOROUGH-A downtown Peterborough clothing store was robbed by a woman brandishing scissors on Thursday according to police.  

It happened on Thursday at approximately 10:30 a.m. According to officers a woman went to a George Street North store and attempted to leave the store without paying for an item of clothing.  It is reported that when a staff member approached the woman about paying for the item the woman brandished a pair of scissors and threatened the employee.

Through the investigation the suspect was identified and shortly after 11 a.m. officers located the woman walking in the area of McDonnel and Stewart Streets.

40 year old Katherina Ann Charbonneau of McDonnel Street, was arrested and charged with robbery with a weapon, fail to comply with a recognizance and Fail to comply with a probation order.
